I was doing a search on the internet among the India based chakra sites. I was compiling a list of known chakra siddhis, or gifts of the chakras. I started copying them starting with the top 6, then the top 8. The longer my list grew from the most common to the lesser common gifts I started realizing something.
To my astonishment I realized that the list was looking very familiar. I realized this about half way through my current list. Being a Christian and having read the Bible and studying spiritual gifts of the Bible I realized that the list I was making was greatly overlapping the spiritual gifts listed in the Bible. I continued with my chakra gifts list and when I came to a good stopping place I turned to the Bible.
Indeed, the whole middle part of my list was duplicated there. What a wide area of overlap! I concluded my listings from the Old and New Testaments. Then I turned to additional Christian scripture and rounded off my list from those.
I’m still giddy from the discovery that the spiritual gifts I’ve grown up knowing about are the exact same gifts as the chakra siddhis, or gifts of the chakras! This has lead me to other discoveries about these gifts. In these pages I will share my discoveries with you.
I hope that also you will share your gifts with me and those who are struggling to understand a subject that seems so complex and out of reach but really is straight forward and simple. Simple isn’t always easy.

There may be people who think that spiritual gifts are only granted to Christians. I’ve seen their websites. Keep in mind that the Bible was originally in Greek and other languages. It was written for the Jew first, and then the gentiles. Some may think chakra gifts are only granted to those who are Buddhist, Hindu, or some such. Although I haven’t seen any sites saying so. Keep in mind that every one has chakras - or you’d be dead. So these gifts, by whatever name, are for all people every where.
There is no magic spiritual gifts fairy flying around with a spiritual gifts wand bopping people on the head *prang* saying, “You now have a spiritual gift!” That’s not how it works. I’ll go into great detail on this later. We all need to know how this works. The root of it is that these gifts are inherited. They are passed down through the generations. If you want to know what your spiritual gifts are then look to your parents and grandparents.
It does involve righteousness, holiness, right living, whatever you care to call it. It does involve living by Spirit, the holy spirit, the Holy Ghost, clean chi, the spirit-that-moves-in-all-things, and some form of prayer.
